A multi-national industrial operator with 30+ sites in the UK wished to rent a forklift truck on a 3 month short term hire. They inadvertently signed a 3 year contract hire agreement, for cancellation of which the supplier demanded 18 months rental payments. Deen Associates negotiated a 75% reduction in the cancellation fees.

A global professional services consultancy procured on-line information from circa 40 suppliers over a number of years without any written contracts, thereby committing to all the suppliers’ terms and conditions every time they logged on to the web sites. Some of these were exposing the company to indirect and consequential losses and committing them to provide indemnities of which they had no appreciation. Over a period of less than 6 months, Deen Associates negotiated and implemented written agreements with all suppliers, reducing the exposure to the client and reducing annual renewal costs by up to 30%.

A national telecoms company was procuring “call logging” services, the formal contracts for which had expired up to 4 years previously. Deen Associates renewed the master agreement with newly included Service Level Agreements and KPIs, whilst agreeing price reductions of between 10% and 50%.

A major tour operator was buying bottled water for over 300 retail outlets from over 20 different providers. Deen Associates negotiated a single national supply agreement with improved delivery commitments and prices up to 40% lower than previously. Credit card payment was also negotiated, removing approximately 600 invoices per month from the accounts payable system.

A retail chain employed over 300 different cleaning companies to clean in excess of 600 retail branches. Direct savings of £250K p.a. were achieved by reducing the number to 6 through a formal RFP process, whilst concurrently improving standards. Additional indirect savings were achieved by reducing the number of invoices to be processed by 95%.

An international oil company urgently required a new procurement and fulfilment service for their Point of Sale material. Deen Associates identified a suitable provider, made all necessary logistical arrangements and set up a new service with SLA within one month of being appointed to the project.
